My apologies to the rest of this board for perpetuating this thread thus far. Unfortunately AFAIK, there isn't any open forum like this for discussion of mechanical music.

Don, the Wurlitzers are wonderful machines, however unless they've been modified to play european arranged rolls or books, or midi interfaced, the music itself is something to chew gum by at best. Farney Wurlitzer was a ruthless SOB of a businessman and he paid his arrangers by the foot for what they arranged, thats why so many of the arrangements will lead in with 2 minutes of simple "oom pa pa" before any melody begins. The european arrangers were very much artists in their own rite, and there is just no comparison. This is also why many times you'll see 125 and 146 wurlitzers that have been converted to play a european format or the wurlitzer 150 rolls, they were done by european arrangers.

Here is a 52 foot base wooden carousel made in the U.S.A. . The Ludion company has a 74 pipes organ that is curved to fit inside the carousel.
